Welcome to It's Personal Period!

We are a not-for-profit service dedicated to advancing menstrual equity across Grey and Bruce.

Founded in 2021 by Alicia Sylvest, It's Personal Period started out as a donation drive collecting menstrual products to assist local youth and pushing for accessible menstrual products within the school board.

This, alongside the rooted belief that all who menstruate have the right to menstruate safely and with dignity, ignited the desire for a deeper look at period poverty within Grey and Bruce.

The inclusion of all social identities is a core value of It's Personal Period. By addressing period poverty through an intersectional lens and building partnerships with likeminded community members, It’s Personal Period believes the advancement of menstrual equity in Grey and Bruce is obtainable.
